In this post, we mostly want to focus on Demodex eggs, where they live, what they look like and how to eliminate them.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Demodex mites lifecycle<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The lifecycle of these mites has five stages.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Demodex mites mate on the scalp of infected people.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">They go under the scalp (follicles)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">After passing 12 hours the female Demodex release her eggs. This is the reason why a treatment will last for a minimum of 3-4 months in order to eliminate all generations of Demodex mites.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As we mentioned before, these Demodex mites tend to live in the darkness, so they reside under the skin and only come out of their follicles at night.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">For eliminating an enemy it\u2019s better to know it more in depth. The heart-shaped egg is 0.1 mm (0.0039 in) long, and\u00a0<strong>hatches<\/strong>\u00a0into a six-<strong>legged<\/strong>\u00a0larva. It takes seven days for the larva to develop into a mature adult, with two intervening nymph stages.
