Demodex mites are 8-legged mites which can cause many skin, scalp and hair issues to people who have a high population density of these parasites. In this post, we mostly want to focus on Demodex eggs, where they live, what they look like and how to eliminate them.
Demodex mites lifecycle
The lifecycle of these mites has five stages.
- Demodex mites mate on the scalp of infected people.
- They go under the scalp (follicles)
- After passing 12 hours the female Demodex release her eggs. Each time the female Demodex could release 50 to 60 eggs in follicles and fatty glands.
- It takes two and a half days for them to hatch out of skin and hair follicles and six days for a baby Demodex mite to reach adulthood.
- They will live in follicles and fatty glands for approximately 6 days.
So, you can see how quickly the population of these mites can increase. This is the reason why a treatment will last for a minimum of 3-4 months in order to eliminate all generations of Demodex mites.
As we mentioned before, these Demodex mites tend to live in the darkness, so they reside under the skin and only come out of their follicles at night.
For eliminating an enemy it’s better to know it more in depth. So, we will take a look at these Demodex mites’ eggs.
You can here watch a video of this topic too.
Demodex egg’s shape and place
Eggs are deposited in the sebaceous gland inside the hair follicle. The heart-shaped egg is 0.1 mm (0.0039 in) long, and hatches into a six-legged larva. It takes seven days for the larva to develop into a mature adult, with two intervening nymph stages. The adult lives for 4–6 days.
How to eliminate Demodex eggs?
The process of wiping out these eggs are as same as mature Demodex mites. By cutting off feeding them. The majority of the eggs cannot be eliminated as they are out of reach deep under the skin. Ungex target the mites that have hatched and aim to eliminate them before they can complete their lifecycle. When they come to the surface, night by night their populations decrease and eventually, there are no more adults to lay eggs and no more eggs to hatch and become adults.
Ungex can assure you on its capabilities of eliminating all generations of Demodex mites, including their eggs. So with Ungex, restoring your skin and hair from Demodex mites isn’t a dream.
