Ungex Demodex Treatment

What Are Demodex Mites?

Demodex mites are microscopic skin parasites that live under hair follicles and in oil glands. They are linked to many hair and skin issues such as Demodex rosacea, Demodex acne and Demodex Blepharitis.

You may have heard about Demodex in dogs, but recent studies have shown that these mites are also present in human skin and do not usually present symptoms until a high population density is found.

Several factors contribute to the Demodex overgrowth and their developing symptoms, the most important being a defective immune system. Although 65 species have been found so far, there are exclusively two types of Demodex mite in human skin:

Demodex Mites Symptoms

Acne, rosacea, hair loss, dandruff, blepharitis, itching. You may have been living with one or more of these for years.

You’ve seen doctors and tried oral and topical medicine. But nothing has alleviated your discomfort.

According to research and studies, a severe infestation of Demodex mites, known as demodicosis, may mimic the symptoms of different skin problems but fail to respond to traditional therapies.

I’m really sorry to hear about your struggles. Dealing with Demodex mites can be incredibly frustrating. For your clothes, washing them in hot water and using a high heat setting in the dryer alone isn’t always enough to kill the mites and their eggs. The best methods are to expose them to direct sunlight for a few hours or, if you don’t have access to sunshine, let them sit in dry air for a few days. Sunlight in a few hours and dry air in a few days are generally effective without the need for bleach.
Additionally, consider using Ungex products like the Pro Demodex Treatment (PDT) and PROCUTiN. These sprays are designed for both skin and surfaces, which can help kill mites on your clothes and surroundings effectively in just a few minutes.
Here’s a quick summary of the timeframe to kill Demodex on surfaces:
– Dry air: a few days
– Direct sunlight: a few hours
– Ungex PDT spray: a few minutes

Basically our job is to eliminate the mites while being kind to the skin, but sometimes people struggle with not using moisturizer, etc. Usually reducing the use of cleanser fixes this (also HFI helps with oil distribution) but if they still need extra moisture coconut is helpful… if they really insist on using other products the morning time is better as most mites are under the surface of the skin and not feeding, however they have to understand that if they ‘cheat’ the process can take longer.

It is temporary though, so once our job is done and Demodex are gone they can pursue other treatments aimed at the skin, and in turn the skin can soak up the nutrients of other treatments instead of the Demodex.

Regular, organic cold pressed is best, but if they complain about it being too greasy some people prefer ‘Fractionated Coconut oil’. And its only used sparingly as needed.

Also, if people have hair loss castor oil is great as it can help promote hair growth. Castor and coconut can also be mixed if skin is super dry. It’s really up to them as long as they are not using other products they can experiment as needed.

Thank you for your question. Cross-transfer of Demodex mites from cats to humans is highly improbable and very rare. While there have been some rare cases of Demodex transferring from humans to dogs or from dogs to humans, but it’s not common, however, there’s no evidence of such transfer from cats. So DW.
However, taking good care of your pets with regular vet check-ups is beneficial for both your pet’s health and your own. Having pets like cats and dogs can actually help reduce stress, which can positively impact your Demodex treatment. So, it’s safe to say that your pets are not a risk and can even aid in your recovery, because stress and mental health issues are directly related to Demodex infestations.

Absolutely, Ivermectin, like many other treatments, often falls short because it doesn’t fully eliminate Demodex mites and can make them more resistant. Such medicines may not only fail to eradicate Demodex but often have side effects and are not good for your skin’s health, making them a waste of time. However, Ungex products use a natural and herbal-based approach designed to target and eradicate mites effectively without side effects, promoting healthy skin.
